Campaign for Recognition, Respect and Protection of women's labor rights

Nepal Mahila Ekata Samaj has been working on the issue of women workers in landless communities since 2020. In particular, we have been advocating for the injustice faced by women in the labor sector due to the fact that women workers who are engaged in domestic labor, construction labor, wage labor, and agricultural labor are not organized due to Lack recognition, respect and protection of workers. While working in this way, women workers are subjected to low wages, insecurity, abuse, and violence. In this situation, we have been facilitating women workers from the landless community to organize, raise awareness of their rights, and stand up for their rights and raise their voices. Currently working with women workers in 3 districts Kathmandu, Jhapa and Dang. We have established a Valley level Women labor workers group in Kathmandu on 2022 and they are being actively leading to advocate the issue of labor rights and drag the attention from Ministry of Labour, Trade Unions and Local authority.
